How to clean your YUDU screens
YUDU has to be the neatest and easiest way of getting your clothes, home décor, cards, assignments and posters printed. Although, to ensure that it remains that way, you have to make sure that you keep its screen clean lint, oil and dust. Follow these steps to keep your YUDU screen clean and keep its condition well for the long future.
Step 1: Scrape off the ink
Make sure that you are using the right tools. Do not use any generic cloth for this purpose. Use the squeegee that comes with it to scrape off the ink from the screen.
Keep in mind that you are scraping off the ink in shorter strokes. This will build less tension on your screen and will also stretched your mesh less. Now, scrape the ink off the squeegee and repeat. This is the fastest way to get rid of the ink on your YUDU screen.
Step 2: Remove tape or plastic
Now, remove any plastic or tape from the screen. This will help you in removing all the ink present in the most difficult parts in the screen without using any chemicals or extra effort.
Step 3: Remove emulsion or stencil
After removing the tape or plastic, you must take off the stencil or emulsion from the mesh by dissolving it. Make sure to not use any chemicals in this step because they will get stuck on the mesh and then it will be much harder to remove them.
Lay your YUDU screen down in a horizontal manner with the side that touches the garments on the upper side and spray the stencil remover on it. Let it stay for two minutes, until the stencil starts melting. Now, take a brush with plastic bristles and lightly scrub the stencil to remove it from the mesh. Make sure to do this because the stencil remover dries, because if it does then it will not come off.
Step 4: Turn on the tap
After the stencil or emulsion has been removed from the screen, turn on the tap and put your screen under it in a standing position. In this step, you must make sure that the water has no pressure because if it does then all the residue ink on the screen will be sprayed all over the sink and it may even spray on you too. If there is some ink left then you can repeat step 3 and then use water.
Follow this 4 steps slowly and carefully and you will be able to have clean accessories to continue using your YUDU machine for a long time.
